Make sure that everyone in the family knows what they should do in case there is a fire. Practice fire drills to make sure that everyone will know what to do, where to go and where to meet up if ever there was a fire emergency. Let them know where the große Löschdecke are and what the best fire escape routes in the house are.

I Large fire blanket go up above the bridge on what is called Monkey Island and I have a perfect view. I can hear the radio. The captain of the sloop is freaked out. You can tell by his tone of voice he is pretty sure he will not live to see the dawn. Our captain directs him to motor alongside and we will take the injured party onboard but as he tries to approach, the ocean swells increase and cause his boat to smash into the side of ours. As his 37 foot fiberglass sailboat slides along the side of our steel hull it makes a sickening sound and then the aft stay, which is the remaining wire holding up his mast, gets caught on our forward upper cargo deck and begins to pull back like a bow being stretched to the breaking point.
Another reason why people invest in extinguisher is that it can reduce the damage done to their property. You should also consider the toxicity levels in the device. If you are going to use it in the office, will it damage the office equipments? Find out what you can about the type of extinguisher you are purchasing.
Ensure Extinguishing ceilings that your access to the attic is stable. Fit a light in your attic that can be switched on from outside so you can see what you are doing once you enter. If you store a fair amount of junk.....sorry, "family items" ....... in your attic, strongly consider flooring it so you can walk around it safely - doing the two-step between rafters is not a recognised dance routine and is open to much embarrassment if you mess it up. Murphy's Law works.
At the helm in the cockpit you have everything you would expect for navigation; sonar, radio package and a chart plotters table. One of the issues I had with the lay out of the cockpit was the shortage of leg space. Annoyingly Broom have placed a fire extinguisher under the steering wheel. While I can understand the logic behind this, practically, it gets in the way of your legs having adequate room.
If you are caught in an upstairs room and you know that someone else has called the Fire Brigade, wait as long as possible for rescue. If you are unable to summon help, think of some means of lowering yourself from the window, for example, by making a rope of sheets or other strong material. lf it becomes necessary to drop to the ground, try first to throw out something which will break your fall, such as a mattress, pillows or blankets.
